Kingsley Maduka is a senior at Montclair State University (MSU) majoring in Molecular Biology
and minoring in Chemistry. He was born in North Carolina, raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and
currently lives in Union, New Jersey. This is his second year conducting research in a genetic
toxicology lab and he is a scholar of the Garden State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority
Participation (LSAMP) at MSU. He is also the former vice president of MSU’s “Brotherhood/La
Hermandad” which is an organization focused on directing minorities to academic and
professional excellence. When he is not studying or participating in extracurricular activities,
you can find him exercising in the gym or working for his photography/videography business.
Through this program he looks forward to networking with other mentees and mentors, gaining
a deeper understanding of toxicology, and gaining insight into bridging the gap between
toxicology and his future in medicine.
