ToxMSDT Program Manager
La Cole Blackshire, MPH, LPN, SSGB is the program manager for the ToxMSDT grant program located in the Molecular Bioscience Department at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. She oversees all logistical and programmatic aspects of the STEM training grant. La Cole coordinates collaborations across multiple research groups and several academic campuses nationwide. She has over 27 years of biomedical experience, including work in an independent toxicology lab preparing biological samples and 15 years of clinical patient care as a Licensed Nurse. La Cole earned a Master of Public Health degree from CSU, San Marcos, and holds a Bachelor's degree with honors in Sociology with a minor in Philosophy from CSU, Sacramento, and an undergraduate degree in Vocational Nursing. Her past research focused on education in communicable disease vaccinations.
