Andrea N. Arce Rodríguez

Andrea N. Arce Rodríguez is in her junior year at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus, majoring in Forensic Science with a minor in Pre-Medicine. She is currently on a research team with Dr. Jorge Agudo Ruiz, where they detect fecal coliforms in waters of the west and southwest of Puerto Rico and identify zooplankton and microalgae. She works on-campus at the Financial Assistance Department. At the same time, she is involved in different associations such as the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) where she is the treasurer, the Student Association of Toxicology (SETox), etc. Being part of the ToxMSDT program allows Andrea to expand her knowledge of toxicology, build her networking, and gain educational and professional experience.
