Bio
Josiah Cox is a Sophomore at Kenyon College working towards his BA in Molecular Biology. Josiah is originally from Henderson, Kentucky, where he was first introduced to toxicology when a scandal erupted involving a local factory polluting PFAS into the groundwater. Years later as a college freshman, Josiah joined Dr. Wade Powell’s Molecular Toxicology lab that used dioxin to investigate the Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor. There, he became further interested in a career as a toxicologist. Josiah intends to pursue a PhD in Biological Engineering and has a strong interest in Synthetic Biology.
