Judith Matos

Judith Matos is from Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. She is in her senior year of her bachelor’s degree in biotechnology at the University Ana G Méndez in Carolina, Puerto Rico.  Her academic and career goals include graduating with her bachelor’s degree in biotechnology and later continuing her studies for a degree in Environmental toxicology to continue a career in environmental research. In addition to her academic and career aspirations, she actively seeks opportunities to enhance her research experience before pursuing graduate studies. Currently, she is a recipient of a scholarship from NSF-S-STEM and a dedicated member of the honors program at her institution. She has always been interested in environmental sciences, and when she had the opportunity to go to the 2024 SOT conference, she was exposed to the world of toxicology. She was truly fascinated and inspired to pursue a career in environmental toxicology.  Her commitment to environmental research is reflected in her long-term goal of obtaining a degree in Environmental toxicology.
