Bio

Dayita Banerjee is a senior at the University of Florida majoring in Microbiology & Cell Science and minoring in Pathogenesis. She is currently a research assistant at the Warrior Aquatic, Translational, and Environmental Research (WATER) Lab under Dr. Tracie Baker. Dayita's current research is primarily on the transgenerational effects of environmentally significant chemical exposures in the zebrafish model, which she hopes to present at the next SOT annual meeting. She is currently applying to Ph.D. programs in Immunology, as her research interests also include autoimmunity and immunotoxicology. Through ToxMSDT, she hopes to build connections with hardworking and passionate individuals in the field of toxicology.
