Edward Dominguez is a second-generation Hispanic student attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is sophomore Molecular and Cellular Biology student with a minor in creative writing. He lives in Arlington Heights, Illinois, but is originally from the near West Side of Chicago. Edward is interested in pursuing a Ph.D. and he hopes his participation in the ToxMSDT program will provide guidance in relation to his post-undergraduate goals. He is involved in the Creative Writing Club, along with his active participation in community service and outreach. Along with this, Edward likes to play sports and cook whenever he gets the chance. Edward is looking forward to establishing new, long-lasting connections with mentees and professors along with gaining new skills and getting a stronger sense of his post- undergraduate plans.
