Naomi Alvarez

Naomi Alvarez is a senior at the University of Washington, WA, pursuing a degree in Environmental Public Health with a minor in Chemistry. Naomi is interested in toxicology because it blends many sciences and relates to public health. She is passionate about helping her community, especially disadvantaged and vulnerable populations who are disproportionally affected by toxic agents in their environments. On campus, Naomi works in the Marsillach lab, assisting with two separate research projects: one investigating the adverse health effects of traffic-related air pollution and the other looking at the adverse health effects of e-cigarette aerosols. She is looking forward to making new connections in the realm of toxicology!
