Stephanie M. Street, PhD

Dr. Street received a doctorate in environmental toxicology from North Carolina State University in 2018 where they studied the effects of exogenous chemicals on chronobiological cycles. In their current role, Dr. Street is a Principal Toxicologist and Biocompatibility Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Medtronic where they are responsible for biocompatibility evaluations, strategy planning, and toxicological risk assessments for medical devices. They have evaluated the safety of many different types of medical devices, from band-aids to brain implants, and their work has been submitted to regulatory agencies across the world to support patient safety and bring those devices to market. Dr. Street has been actively involved in biocompatibility research and advocacy for several years and often presents their work at various conferences and organizations, like the Society of Toxicology (SOT) Medical Device and Combination Product Specialty Section (MDCPSS) and Advamed.
